Baltimore's famous Fort where- after a battle with the British in 1814, an American guy wrote the star spangled banner poem which in 1930 became the American National anthem. Everyone was exceptionally patriotic there....but after my visit it made me want to rant slightly as they told the facts in a strange way, which was actually that the British won the battle, but they didn't want to proceed with more 'battling' as the The British hasn't even wanted to be in the small war at all which the Americans had declared, but which the British were winning all Over the east coast, and they all signed a peace treaty like a week later. So it kinda all made me laugh a lot that that is how the american national anthem was written. Its still a good tune at least. And anyway.......it's still unbelievably better than our national anthem which is the worst one ever.
