We were going to have porridge but when we went to buy some bus tickets the smell from the bakery was so deliciously tempting we couldnt resist ! A custard flaky pasty square and a marmalade filled croissant. Heaven with a bowl of coffee. Croissants here are quite different to France. More sugary and light than the rich buttery flavour of France. I like spending time deciding which type I prefer. ! The peaches were really fresh.

Went to an amazing restaurant called Los chocos They were the first place in Mendoza to do a supper club style venue. As in you go to someone's house and have dinner with strangers. The venue was really cool and we were v lucky on the mix of people. Two other couples. Both Argentinian. All loved food. Two chefs and two in tourism. It was great fun. The food was really outstanding. All local ingredients. Complex interesting dishes served with mendozan wines...

Los chocos This was the wine. The Chardonnay was really exceptional. The sweet was v like a sauternes. V difficult to grow here so was impressive.

Los Chocos Only took one photo as the location was so small and we were with people we didn't know. Know it's a silly excuse but there it is anyway ! This dessert tasted like Christmas pudding The pudding part was made with the bark of a tree and the cream was infused with cedron leaves. (apparently great when infused with lemon and tea too)

Los chocos Full menu as much as I can remember 1. Sautéed sweetbreads in a citrus dressing with a green olive garnish. Served with blackened baby potatoes and peas. Never had sweetbreads before. The idea of them is worse than the taste. I surprised myself by liking it a lot. Like a thin mixed pork and chicken bite. The citrus really helped cut through the fried butter flavour too.
