La hacienda Ed had Lomo de vetado. Rib eye. Juicy. Perfectly cooked. Smoky. Honestly truly amazing flavour from it. Hello Argentina!!

La hacienda Vegetables in Argentina are not the main attraction. Microwave reheated frozen vegetables is the norm ! However with meat as good at they delivered - I'm okay with that!

La hacienda Vicuña mackenna street Super local restaurant. Full of only locals who were still arriving for dinner at 23.00 with their children! This is steak a la pobre. Poor mans steak. Didn't know what it would be but knew looking at what everyone else was eating that it would be great. You could look into the grill area of the kitchen. It was wayyyy too much food but a really great juicy steak. So of course I finished it!

La hacienda These empanadas just arrived to our table. If you imagine a perfect empanada warm crisp pastry shell, tender lightly spiced meat filling and a fresh tomato salsa for dipping. This was it. Actually we told them we loved them and they brought two more. Winner!

This is called a media Luna We went into a cafe which I thought was good as it was 1. Open (after 3 its impossible to find somewhere for food) 2. Had wifi 3. Looked modern It was so funny because as we sat down I realised we were in a cafe con piernas bar. This means coffee with legs. So all servers are wearing rather reavealing uniforms! Its massive in Santiago and actually popular with loads of young people too and luckily all the girls were all v nice...
