One night in Bangkok... or so the song goes. After travelling for a near 24 hours on fairly bumpy airplane flights, we made if from Cape Town to Bangkok. Fairly frazzled and exhausted we were asleep by ten clock! Patpong and the red light district will have to wait until our return trip in a few weeks. Having arrived and chosen to stay in tourist central (Khao San), we have been overwhelmed by offers for every item of merchandise under the sun. Spent the day walking around looking at the Royal Palace and the various temples. Very opulent indeed. The highlight so far has been the dining on some of the most delicious food in the world- the curries knock your socks off. Will write more from Sri Lanka.
