Hi, finally getting around to uploading some photos (which is taking ages, especially seeing as ive manged to take over 800 already!!!!!) so thought id do a quick update. Thankfully its been hot hot hot here for quite a few days straight now so the tannage is definitely coming along. We left Koh Tao a couple of days ago to come back to KP to te same resort we stayed at before (safe to say we must have enjoyed it and the people first time around!). We mamanged to find such a good bunglaow right on the beach front on sairee beach (THE place to be on Koh tao if you want any night life at all - which we did!) which was bargainous at only 4pounds eacha night (Altho one of our priciest yet!) and it was practially the only bunglaow there, all the other building being wicked bars and restaurants (it was however an absolute mission to get it as we made the ferry crossing in the POURING rain which didnt stop when we were accom hunting with our bags and the fact that my surplus carrier bag split open midway through didnt help much either!).
Our nights in Koh Tao followed pretty much the same pattern each night, have some thai food (YUM!! - bug fan of the yellow curries and pad thai (noodles)) then head to an austrailian bar (choppers) for some Chang (beer of varying strengths depending on your luck!) then down to some of the beach bars to chill out with cocktaiols watching the awsome fire shows. And our days were also slightly predictable featuring a lot of the beach! (altho we did have a burst of activity with some kayaking and snorkelling (amazing coral and coloured fish, really incredible!)). Meeting people all the time especially in the evenings and eveyone is so friendly and easy to get along with, sem to be lots of irish and germans for some reason, oh and nearly everyone seems to have some connection with salisbury - it raly is the centre of the world afterall!).
So we left Koh Tao (reluctantly) on the bumpiest ferry crossing EVER (sick bags were being contantly handed out and Im not exaggerating to say that all you could hear for the hour journey was wretching). We made it alive though and headed back to what felt like home ('Holiday Inn', real name Holiday Beach resort). The guys that live above the bar are so cool and have been hanging out with us and taking us out in the evenings (i think when they are supposed to be working but no-one seems to mind). They really do have the life, serve the occasiopnal drink but mostly play around doing breakdancing, fire spinning, golf on the beach, sleeping and partying - and this is all day everyday! We went to Haad Rin beach the night before last which was really fun, were on the lethal buckets again! joined in lots of games, (I came a respectable second in a fierce game of musical chairs) altho none of us were brave enough to attempt skipping in a huge rope set on fire, watching that one was enough! Wen also went to the half moon party lastnight (dont quite know how but Ive been up this morning since ( after going to sleep at 7 with little sleep the night before aswell). This time the party wasin the jungle rather thsan on the beach, hadf more people there but prefered the beach setting. Lots of neon lights and body paints but it stopped at 2 much to our amazement (I think there has been some change in the law recently in THaialand about opening hours?) but we just al came back and sat on the beacha t our resort watching the stars (including some shooting ones) and laughing at the crazy thai guys!
We are getting a bus to singapore later today (i think its a 26 hour journey - Fun!?), have to miss out Kuala Lumpar unfortuately as dont have the time. Catnt believe thailand is over already, havent had nearly long wnough here. Ill be sad to leave havin gno done so many things I wanted to but its OK as I know Ill definitely be back here in the not too distant future hopefully!
Love to evreyone on the other side of the world! (and apologies for spellig and grammar etc, think all the sunbathing is turning my brain to mush!) xxxxxxxxx
