I was able to pass this chocolate stream but a few kilometers further the swift-flowing waters had washed away the dirt road. So I had to turn around: after 150 km of dirt road, being only me 20 km away from destination. This time I had to make it in the dark. Again no oncoming traffic, I guess for reason. There was probably a sign, somewhere at the beginning of the dark road.

The heavens sent hail. The pellets had the size of acid drops.

As far as the eye reaches all around not a soul to be seen. Just the wind and a bird. I had for hours now no traffic. This high plain is dominated by the volcano in the distance, its grey ashes from the last eruption cover the ground.
