Its quite funny: as I was writing the last lines of my previous entry I really believed I had left everyone I had met so far behind...that from then on it would be new faces all the way. I went downstairs and bumped into two old friends, who had arrived early in Christchurch! Brilliant! And met a few more familiar faces journeying back up north, to Auckland to make my way out the country. It never feels lonely on the Kiwi bus! New Zealand has been awesome. ...

Hiking Franz Josef glacier was amazing - definitly one of the 'wow' moments of my trip so far! Its the world's steepest and fastest flowing commercially guided glacier, with the most incredible views all the way up. Once we got kitted up in special clothes to look like clones for the day (!) we made our way out there, first having to trek through rainforest which was so humid and uncomfortable! So worth it, but strange heading from those conditions to ice up ...

Time has passed so quickly. A lot of our bus have gone their separate ways now, either moving on faster, slowing down, or travelling up back north. Kind of weird but so nice when you bump into 'old' friends at a hostel somewhere along the route - such a nice surprise! We said many goodbyes on our first night in Wellington, having pool and games competitions in the bar in our hostel. The next day I visited Te Papa Museum, where I learnt more about Maori cultur...

I have just had the most AWESOME few days of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A whole weekend of major partying, punctuated by the Black Water Rafting Thursday, Skydiving Saturday and White Water Rafting this morning!!!! hahahahhahahaha!!!! I think I really am turning into an adrenaline junkie big time and that is not good coz I don't wanna hit a real low when I'm back home with nothing crazy to do! Skydiving was awesome. My last days in Oz were so good for me in the sun...having jetski races, swimming in lagoons and doing lots of sunbathing and dreaming!
