I have been riding along this beach - finally!

We decided to hire a car in Cairns & drive north along the coastline up to Cape Tribulation via a quick detour to Mossman Gorge - one of the main reasons being to go horseriding on the beach. It's absolutely beautiful up there riding through the rainforest then out onto the beach. It's one of the few places i the world where the rainforest meets the reef apparently! There were only four of us the group so we got to do a bit more than usual and even stopped off for a refreshing & much needed dip in the creek. Saw a snake & a cassowari which was pretty cool!

Stayed at the beach hut on Cape Trib which was right on the beach. It really is tropical up there tho - so humid. Stopped off for a night in Port Douglas on the way back to Cairns which is a lovely town right on the water full of restaurants for all the rich people on their boats to stop at! Just my cup of tea!

Heading down to mission Beach tomorrow at 7 am! So no doubt Charlotte will be waking me up at 5 am! Should be good tho!
