Pakenham - West Wyalong

Out of bed at 4am, showered, a quick cuppa and on the road by 5.15am. Traffic on the Monash Freeway was quite heavy and we found our way to the Hume Hwy via Bell Street Coburg, past the old bluestone castle. Good run in the northern suburbs and away from Melbourne.

We stopped for a bite to eat at Narrandera at Macca's - mates deal, filled up with fuel and on to west Wyalong arriving at 1.30pm to find our motel locked up with a note on the door - back at 3pm. Lunch at a café downtown and then to the local RSL. Some different pokies here nearly all 1 cent and some new games for Fay to try.

Back into the motel and settled in by 3.15pm, very clean with the air con already going for us. Internet chores completed for the day and start to plan for the night going to the golf club not far out of town. We plan an early start again tomorrow to arrive at the Dubbo Zoo by 9 - 9.30am
