Hi everyone, what a busy day i've had! It's 9 at night and i've only just had a chance to sit and let you all know i'm here safe (so you can stop worrying now sj!) You all now should know that i'm in chiang mai. i arrived at about 9.30 this morning after a long overnight train. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be but i only got a few hours sleep. I sat with a bloke from Canada who moved to chiang mai with his wife four years ago. he was really helpful and gave me loads of advice. As i was coming out of the station i met a couple of girls, steph and suzi and got a ride with them to the guesthouse they were booked into. I got a room there too for about 2pound a night-with my own bathroom!! Such a relief that i dont have to run down the hall twice a night to pee anymore! Am booked to stay there until the weekend as i've been busy booking myself onto things to do most of the day. Luckily the girls are really nice and i'm tagging along with them for the next few days. Tomorrow we're gong to do a river cruise and have a thai massage, thursday we're doing a trek, friday we're going on a trip to see how they make silk and those paper umbrellas, saturday i'm doing a thai cooking class and monday maybe a massage class. think i may head back to bangkok tuesday night and book myself on a train or bus down to a beach for wednesday! definatly going to be busy! hoping this will make me regain my appetite as my trousers are becoming loose which would be good but i've only got a few pairs as it is! oh well, might have to go shopping!! you'll all be pleased to know that steph and suzi reakon i caught the sun today...can you tell why i like them?!
