Vang Vieng, Laos
17th first full and only day in Bangkok, tut tut (of course) just the two of us to the standing budda, lucky budda and golden mount - then meet our group 14 of us
18th Very very bumpy road from Cambodia boarder to Siem Reap - group trip begins
19th Went to Ankor Wat, amazing day and beautiful sunrise (5AM OUCH) Fish amok is a must - curry in a coconut shell LUSH
20th We visited an orphanage, bought them school stuff and three massive sacks of rice, such beautiful and clever children. We also visited the floating villages, how they survive is un-real. Squeezed a hammock bar stop off of course!
21st Local bus to next destination, went on a bike ride which was very funny - nearly died (mental roads and drivers)
22nd Homestay: 3 wooden shacks for the night at a local farmers house. Brilliant time - another must do! The COWS lived underneath ours
23rd Next destination Sihanoukville - BEACH TIME
24th Had a BBQ on a private beach then went to a waterfall - loved it (legs got VERY burnt)
25th Swimming and bannana boat
26th Phonom Penh (hectic city) had dinner at a place which looked after orphangs. They were looked after well, they performed a few tarditional dances for us - so cute.
27th Wasnt feeling well in bed all day, missed the S-21 and killing fields (craig went). Picked myself up for the boxing matches (12p a ticket)
28th Headed to Vietnam boarder, had our first non asian meal - mexican food (naughty i know).
29th Two of the guys were leaving the trip and 3 girls were joining. Was Euro final so was up till 4am.
30th Remants museum was sad, very discriptive - how they were killed! All reading books on local peoples survival stories now.
So thats June for ya people, will tell more when i can x but all i can say at the mo is Laos is great went water rafting today - nearly died again x the water was at its highest in 4 years, a bridge had colasped detoured alot - mental
