Second full day in Prague. Yesterday a very long day - the palace complex including the amazing st vitus cathedral, the obligatory river cruise with beer - very informative about bridge and river history including the hollywood blockbusters filmed here instead of Venice and Russia; walking over Charles bridge into the city for a long long wander along cobbled streets and medieval architecture everywhere you look. By late evening very tired and footsore. Today another huge breakfast in the adjoining cafe to the residence and off again via Starbucks then tram to the funicular train which has featured on a couple of amazing race series, up to the old monastery and (snaller but higher on a hill) copy of the Eiffel (bad case of tower envy back in the day).
Oh - didn't mention you're warned about shops short changing you, but really!, even Gloria jeans coffee shop? Caught him at it and gave me correct change.
Back down the funicular and a long long tram ride to see where it went - out into the suburbs in the hills. Took the tram back again and got off at back of the palace complex and finished off seeing all of the buildings there. Then wandered down the hill and took another tram into town over one of the many bridges.
