Hello all, am now in cold and wet new zealand waiting for the skies to clear so i can do a skydive!! But that will have to wait a while to make it on the blog as have got a bit of catching up to do.

From Langkawi Sam and I headed off to Penang where we go gorged ourselves on lots of delicious curries. During most meals we both managed to comsume our body weight in curries as we enjoyed them so much! Walking around Little India was really good aswell as the smells and the sound of bollywood music blaring out gave us an impression of what i guess its like to be in India. The people here were all really friendly aswell and i have now added india to the places that i really would like to visit in the future!

From Penang we caught an overnight train down to Kuala Lumpar. The train ended up being 4 hours late and wasnt the most comfortable of places to sleep so we arrived in KL tired and sleepy. We had decided that we would try and do a bit of shopping there but ended up with very little as most things seemed just as expensive as they are at home if not more so! So we just relaxed for the rest of the day before going to the cinema and watching kung fu panda! The next day we were up bright and early to make sure we could get a ticket to go up the petronas tower. We managed to get one but ha to come back later in the afternoon to go up. After we came back we were required to watch a 3d film about how great petronas is before we queued for 30 mins to get up to the walkway. It wasnt quite as impressive as id hoped as we werent anywhere near the top but we still got impressive views over the city. We then left KL as it was buring a hole in our pocket and ehaded down for a quite relaxing time to Melaka.

The first hostel we checked into wasn't great (grumpy owner, paper thin walls and a weird swimming pool in the recption area!) so on our second day after we checked into a new hostel we walked around town but couldnt bring ourselves to do the main sites as it was too busy and we were both pretty much done with sightseeing after 3 months of it!

Right off to watch NZ vs South Africa but will hopefuly finish the Asia section f this blog very soon. Hope all is well at home. Does the package in my room say which country it is from?
