The past couple days have been pretty eventful. This is actually dylans turn to blog, but since we spent a day apart separate from dylan, sam and their families i thought our perspective should be heard. After waking up to quite a mess from the night before, Kellock, Jimmy, and I cleaned up a little before swimming in the pool. Around 3 00 we headed into florence and did a little walking tour with Jimmy. We saw the cathedral, the piazaz de republicca, a couple markets, and the outside of a couple musuems. we tried to get into the michaelangelo one but the line was huge...maybe next time im in florence. We bought some sunglasses and earrings and whatnot before heading back into Londa since the last bus up to the Villa was at 7 30. When we got back we assumed the kennamers and shapiros to be arriving home soon but instead we had to wait up for them until 2 00 am. now dylans turn.
First I would like to start by saying that we are uploading a video that Kellock somehow neglected to upload from our previous post. It's not that odd that he chose to forget it as it doesn't show him in the best of lights. However it is classic and you should all see it. The highlight is Jimmy's commentating.
The day that Eli just wrote about Sam and I spent heading towards and in Sienna. There was a lot of driving, a decent amount of getting lost and beautiful scenery. We arrived in Sienna around 7 pm and walked around taking in the city. Dinner was amazing, beyond words to explain really. So we'll skip that and proceed onto the next day :-).
Yesterday we went into Florence with Jake to pick up Kyler. We ended up getting out there fairly late, around 6 or 7. Kellock Eli and Jimmy got pressured into buying some shoes by some older Italian guy who kept insisting that the shoes were "made in Italy no Chinese." They wanted shoes anyways though so it worked out fairly well. We then returned to the trainstation and met up with Kyler. All together for the first time we bought guarana pills, took two, and were set for the night. We showed Kyler around Florence a little bit before coming to the Duomo. We sat down there with all of Kyler's bags as well as the backpacks we brought with our clubbing clothes. Shortly people started coming back from a bar on the piazza, JJ Cathedral, which sold drinks during happy hour for dollars at an equal rate to euro (ex. 5 euro pint = 5 dollars). After we'd knocked a few back we split up with Sam Kyler and I heading to my dad's car so that we could throw all the bags in there. Jimmy Kellock Eli and Jake stayed around the Duomo and went to the Astrolounge which they claim was weak as hell. The shots were half soda and there was a midget dancing on a pole who kept giving them dirty looks. We all met back up at the Duomo and they had already found girls with whom we were supposed to be able to get into the clubs. The girls were 21-27 however. After much talking and drinking we headed to a club called Twice. On the way to Twice we lost those girls, but got in anyways. The club was kind of weak. There were a lot of older (like 30+) people there and a lot of the girls were hating. The bartender did have some pretty cool magic tricks though. At any rate nothing came of Twice and we headed out at like 2 to find a new club. Unfortunately we didn't find anything and ended up wandering for a long time. We met some random people while wandering and got to see a decent portion of the city. We arrived at the train station at 4:40 am, but elected not to take the 5:17 train back to Contea - Londa (our stop) because we wanted food. So we waited for McDonalds to open at 6:30 bought our food and ran to make our 6:35 train. Once home we slept, swam and waited for dinner. A woman came to the villa and cooked classic regional food which was delicious. Tomorrow we make our way to Turin.
