Folks of our era will remember American sitcom 'Happy Days'.
It cashed in on the nostalga of the 1950s when life was much simpler in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
You know the one - The Fonz aka Arthur Fonzarelli the Mr Cool of his day, Richie Cunningham and his two side kicks Potsey Webber and Ralph Malph.
Well being in Milwaukee we hoped to find The Fonz. But where to start?
The obvious place to start looking was the Harley Davidson Museum because The Fonz was a biker and always wore his black leather jacket.
After gaining entry to the Museum (at the Senior's Rate - there are some perks to be old) we spent the next two hours checking out the exhibits. There are Harleys from the first one produced in 1903 to the most recent models. It seemed to be that as each new model was produced - the bigger it had to be.
Two favourites were the Captain America bike ridden by Peter Fonda from the movie 'Easy Rider' and the Terminator 2 Bike ridden by Arnie as well as one that was bought by Elvis in 1956.
But alas, we did not find The Fonz! What about near the lake?
Lake Michigan was calling so we spent the afternoon driving north beside the water. Some of the homes were magnificent. We arrived at Port Washington about 30 km north of Milwaukee just in time for lunch. The town had many fishing boats and bragged that it was the trout and salmon fishing capital of the world.
But still no Fonzie - guess he's not into fishing! Maybe he's downtown?
We returned to Milwaukee and went for a walk around the city centre. The architecture is quite stunning with a variety of traditional and modern buildings lining the Milwaukee River.
As we walked along Riverwalk Way, Voila! Guess who we found?
The Fonz! In all his glory preserved in bronze.
We posed for photos with him and asked about Richie, Potsey and Ralph Malph but he kept very quiet about their whereabouts!
Having achieved our goal of finding The Fonz we headed back to our hotel to prepare for our last two days in Chicago before commencing the journey home.

Craig and Marg Keep an eye out for Al Capone whilst in Chicago as I have it on good authority that him and Elvis have been sighted there recently, just ask Henry Winkler. Apparently he's very well known for playing a famous TV character for years but the name escapes me at the moment. Might have to ask Dr Google
Christopher Hope your hotels are better then the crap Nevermind Tours offer in India
