Hi guys Today we walked around Florence's sights but did not go in as the queues were long and money is tight! We took photographs of the bridge, cathedral, Galleria degli Uffizi etc, which were really impressive. The heat has been unbearable today, and we were thankful when it began to rain! After lunch we stopped off for some ice cream which was really amazing, but it was v expensive. We are off to Rome tomorrow, our hostel is close to the train sta...

So here is our menu: Caroline had spaghetti with tomato sauce, followed by grilled chicken and green salad. And i had, beef and tomato tagliatelle followed by a medium grilled pork steak! It was excellent! We aslo had a bottle of Chianti. There was a great atmosphere as the waiters were eccentric. Under £10 each. see you all tomorrow. x

Yesterday we took the bus to Venice and got on a water taxi down the Grand Canal to the Rialto bridge. It was very busy and hot but the shops sold lovely Marano glass and souveniers. Then we took the taxi to St Marco Square and had a big ice cream! We had fruit boxes and pizza for lunch, and a weird green, hard pistaschio cake. We found a restuarant for dinner that did main meals for 8 euros and so we ate there. We sat down at 6.30, Jas had pesto and pine nut ...

Friends, Went to Venice today, was really quick on the bus, 5 mins. Uploaed some more pics for you. It was stupidly hot today, stopped twice for drinks. Will give more info tom, want to upload pics. Off to florence at 14.30 tom, hostel by main station
