SO. Montana had nothing that I was interested in so I ended up driving straight on to Spokane, WA. FINALLY, I have rejoined civilization! The northern part of Idaho was beautiful, however, there isn't much to see besides the forest. Spokane was pretty cool as well. I stayed there for a night and then drove on for Seattle and Skydive Snohomish, which is just northeast of Seattle.
Wow, this area is amazing. The diversity in topography is just outstanding. I was driving down from a mountain covered in evergreens and then boom there's Bellvue and Seattle. But they are each wrapped in lush landscapes and surrounded by towering mountains. It's unreal how these huge mountains turn into rolling forests, turn into waterfront so quickly. The area seems to have it all, AND a great dropzone to go along with it.
Skydive Snohomish was a really great place to stop on the trip. I got there late Friday and stayed until Monday morning, I definitely stayed the whole weekend because of the people. The dropzone itself is decent, only running a Caravan made for slow rides to altitude and not too many loads. However, the people here are what skydiving is all about. Michael, Jason, and Angela especially made my time there most enjoyable, Michael even let me crash at his place Friday night, Thank you! Everyone else was really cool, went out to the bar with them Friday night and went to there "end of the season" white trash party on Sunday night. I hope they come out to the Ranch sometime so I can pay them back with good times and hospitality RANCH STYLE.
My mother has also joined me, flew in to Seattle yesterday, so that is pretty great! We hung out around Seattle today and had a really good time, unsure where we're going to show off to next!
Possibly stay in Seattle a little longer, maybe Portland, early to Crater Lake, or maybe even hit the coast. This trip has been great that way, just rollin with the breeze...
