Boulder was a good time. And the last couple days have FLOWN by. Drove to the Badlands yesterday and it was a pretty nice drive. Southeast Wyoming is pretty boring, but the Black Hills in South Dakota were great. Got to the Badlands mid afternoon and was able to make do a nice loop hike through the grasslands and crags of the Badlands. After the hike we made camp and watched the sun set and got some AMAZING pictures.
The next morning went from a scene of things being clear as a bell to super thick fog. Tried to do the other hike we had planned and it was fine, but the view was definitely affected by the fog. After that short hike, we hit the road hoping to get a good way towards the Chicago area. I've been through South Dakota before, but damn, it is a flat boring state. Luckily for us we were able to get out of South Dakota and travel through the also terrible state of Iowa. Iowa sucks, so we drove all the way through it and made it to Illinois. Since we got to Illinois tonight we're going to go for it big tomorrow, but drive less than today, and drive to BUFFALOVE!!!!
I love Buffalo, and can't wait to catch some good food, family, friends, and playoff hockey! Even though the Sabres are blowing it, I'm pumped to hit WNY and enjoy the weekend.
The rest of the trip has a plan to swing through Albany and see Brian Kise, then hit the Ranch for a day, NYC, and then shove off to Europe for 16 days.
It's a rough life, but someone's got to do this, right?!
