Alright, so I finally made it to Chicago today...
I was supposed to leave Buffalo on Monday, but felt some chest pain during the Bills game, GO BILLS!, and went to the ER to get it checked out. Long story short, 2.5 days later, 1 x-ray, 1 CT scan with contrast injection, 1 Echo, 1 Cardiac MRI with contrast injection, and a number of doctors and EKG's later it's been decided I have some sort of muscle/bone pain that just has to run it's course. Thank you oh so intelligent doctor's!
Cons to this mess: Leaving a few days later for Chicago, Rachel not being able to join me because she had to cancel her flight while my health was in question, going to have to cut a few days out of Chicago and Seattle.
Pros: I'm healthy, I'm still doing this trip, the weather is great today, I'm going to meet up with childhood friend Sarah Ward, Skydive Chicago is having a $125 all you can jump day tomorrow!
Drive up here wasn't bad, 1 mega accident and part of the 80 were closed right when I was about an hour or so out, but overall it was great. Wow, corn central out here. NW Ohio all the way to Illinois is CORN COUNTRY. Notre Dame is in the middle of damn NOWHERE. I also never knew there was an RV/Motor Home Hall of Fame/Museum, thank you Indiana, you scared me with that, your flat terrain, and signs for horse trailers enough that I didn't get out of my car once in your fine state.
I'm off to set up my tent and relax for the evening. I'll be posting pictures from Buffalove, and the drive here (pulled over and got a picture with each State sign I came upon, I was in 5 states today including NY).
You can't stop me!
