Hello,

Here is C&I's final blog from China...we've had our ups and downs, but it has in all been an amazing adventure!
It's 6am here and we need to catch our plane home in a couple of hours....so here's what we got up to in Hong Kong.....

Day 1.

We managed to pick up a bus from Shenzhen airport just on the China side of the border to within 10 minutes of our hotel, right in the heart of Kowloon, so no further hotel finding nightmares!

Once we'd checked in and sorted ourselves out, we headed out to catch the tram up Victoria Peak for a view over HK, and did some hunting for cheap electronics.. Sadly the demise of the pound seems to have wiped out the difference. No new DSI then! We finished the day with a late meal in Crystal Palace Restaurant..

Day 2.

Yesterday we got up early (11 am!) to head over to Lantau Island to pay our respects to the giant bronze Buddha.. Big Buddhas have been a bit of a theme this trip! The cable car ride up is pretty amazing... We had clear day and spectacular views of... Hong Kong airport! A reminder of the next day's destination...

The Buddha was impressive too, though Leshan still had the edge... After that we caught up on some final shopping before our last dinner together on holiday..

Which brings us to this morning.. About to check out and catch a cab to the airport.. It's been the most amazing time, great moments and some difficult ones too.. We're looking forward to getting back to new adventures back home!
