On Saturday, April 3, I took a 15 minute bus ride with my friend Ashley to Fiesole, a town just north of Florence. Fiesole is an adorable small town that is on a hill overlooking Florence. We had the most breathtaking views of Florence from there. You can see down to the city center and off to the mountains on the other side of the city (where Piazza Michelangelo is that I like to run to).
We walked around town, enjoying the quiet. Tons of tourists had come to Florence for Easter weekend and Fiesole was a breath of fresh air - literally. It wasn't crowded at all. Ashley and I walked around through the neighborhoods before stopping at a small park with a view to the north of Fiesole. I used my swiss card (a swiss army knife for ladies) that Gotti had given me to cut a nectarine in half for us to share. We then talked and ate chocolate covered pretzels before heading back to the bus.
I hope to take my mom and Maria here when they come to visit in just a few weeks!
