The Great Wall........

Today is the day that I step upon one of the most magnificent man made constructions in the world! Plenty of photo opportunities right? So, what's the most important thing? What am I going to wear??

6:55am Our guide arrives; Lin L-I-N Lin. A small group of people join us, 3 of which are Koreans. We collect everyone, and pass the "Bird's Nest". It's absolutely outstanding. I wanted to get closer and really see how it worked. It looked so solid and intricate. Man, it was cool. The tour commences soon enough.

First stop, Ming Tombs (yawn). The only interesting potential that there was for this was that we might actually be able to go INSIDE a tomb! Now, that's be worth it. Instead we are shown a concrete wall. "Where's the tomb?" I ask. "It's here," Lin L-I-N replies in a jolly manner. "What?" I'm not entirely shocked as the idea of coming home with a curse over me.....yeah, not appealing.
