Since I last wrote I went to visit my friend in Pretoria for a week and am back now in Windhoek. It was really nice to go to South Africa and see a familiar face again. She has been living in South Africa on and off for several years, so it was good to finally see her second home. We went to visit her family in Sebokeng, outside Johannesburg, for her brother's birthday party the weekend I got there. It was lots of fun and great to meet all of the people I have heard so many stories about. Other than that trip we stayed in Pretoria, going shopping and hanging out with her friends. Pretoria was much more hectic than Windhoek, bigger city, lots more people and things going on. It was a nice change for a week, but it was also nice to be back in Namibia where things are much more mellow.

I got back to Windhoek a few days ago and have just been chilling, working from home since my coworker has been out of the office the last few days. I am still editing stories for the new anthology, but next week we are going up to the Caprivi region for 2 weeks to do women's rights workshops. I will be helping out with whatever needs to be done like registration, note taking and following up with participants after it's over. I'm really excited to see a different part of the country and get to do something new for awhile with work.
