OXFORD
We missed out on posting about Oxford, England, but we posted some pictures. We took the train to Oxford and walked five miles up the canal. It was so fun seeing all of the houseboats lining the edges of the canal. We passed under some awesome bridges and got so see some of Britain's beautiful country side. We ended up in a small town where we enjoyed lunch on an outdoor patio. It was such a beautiful day so it was nice to soak up some sun! We wanted to get back into Oxford to visit Christ Church College during the touring times, so we took the bus back into town rather than hiking. Christ Church College is famous for the Harry Potter dining hall and for inspiring details in the story, Alice in Wonderland. After the tour we wandered the town a bit more taking in all of the wonderful architecture. We passed through a covered market that had a small cookie stand. With the exception of our mothers' and grandmothers' homemade cookies, it was the greatest cookie we have ever had! It helped that is was fresh out of the oven and the chocolate was all melty. Overall it was a great day in Oxford!
Cheers,
Erin & John
