Hi everyone! My name is Erika Furlong. I'm a biomedical sciences major and one day I hope to go to medical school and become a cardiothoracic surgeon. I am so excited to be going to Costa Rica this Spring Break! I have never been out of the country, and I unfortunately don't speak Spanish so this is going to be so new for me! I am honestly very excited and I don't know what other word would be better to describe that haha. I heard about ABP actually through our coordinator Danielle when she become a coordinator this year. After she told me about it I was like "hey, I gotta do this it sounds awesome". I'm honestly a little concerned about bugs in Costa Rica. I know they'll be there and I just think that kinda sucks, but we will make it through! At lottery knight it went exactly as I expected honestly. The only thing that could have made it better would be the method of payment. I think there should have been at least like 2 more people to take money but that's just a little thing. I am so excited to play with the animals! Animals are awesome and they definitely need more love so I'm so happy that we're gonna go and make a difference in their lives. This is gonna be an awesome year!! Yay!
