Broulee, yes we are here. And yes we are sorry about the delay but all good things come in good time; there have been some GOOD times!
The Gippsland is something no-one can miss, I'm sure we are going to say this about every place we go but we are just astounded by what our country has to offer > bush, rain forests, islands, coastlines, animals, architecture and people!!!!! All these places wouldn't have been the same without the people we have met.
We had so much fun in Healesville but we are going to miss our housemate Camo, he was starting to lead us astray so we thought it was time that we left ;-)
Our next adventure started with a bang, literally! Hmmm One Big Tree and the Back Window… to be honest we were more worried about team Apollo (our bikes). One purple pleasant plywood back window!!!!! Philip Island, one place we will remember, for it's beautiful towns, famous racetrack, beaches and gorgeous penguins, but we both decided we wouldn't want to be there in peak season; bedlam. That goes for our entire trip, we have been so lucky in the weather aspects! Great weather without the crowds, nights are a little cold but that's why we have each other (and our gasses) plus layers upon layers of clothing.
We now have a state between us and home! It's exciting, you should probably cheek out the photo's to see how excited, NSW. Philip Island, Wilson's Promontory National Park, Yanakie, Buchan, Lakes Entrance and Eden all receive our presence in the cold nights with many other towns dazzling us in our passing. Ahhh the Memories, breath-taking views from the 3.4 km walk straight up Mt Oberon over looking the entire Wilson's Prom. Nat. Park to the on looking of a school group at two young ladies doing yoga, on a thought to be deserted beach, in their sports bras. Lets not forget the hot teacher leading the hike, 2 hrs we walked to get there we thought we were safe!
That brings us to Fu*k'n Buchan, no we have not turned into ladettes nor use language like that willy nilly, you try pronounce each town right! The locals will put you right 'rhyme the two and you have it'. A Thursday night in a town of 500 you thought the pub would be quiet, we were wrong. It was 7pm when we went in search for warmth, 2am we put our heads on our pillows 'it wasn't cold that night' and didn't spend a cent. Buchan is actually known for its beautiful caves by most people, not the pub. Royal Cave is one of three barely touched wonders, you duck, squeeze and dodge the natural features whilst listening to their history.
We were just practicing for the wine tour at Lakes Entrance, it's always noon somewhere right? Jealous, come on just a little! Well we tried > check out our photos to get a better idea of how we have been getting on but for now we are making ourselves at home in Broulee 'village by the sea'
Sammy And Gibby are our new companions, Sammy a three legged Lab cross Blue Healer and Gibby a 13yr old Kelpie cross Sheep dog! They are so well behaved I think Marree may have to fight us for them back, each have there own character and are like children really. We are looking for work and once again if you look you will find, Beck is at a café' and I have two group fitness classes at a gym, let me add while also applying to Mc Donald's!
We have nearly been away for 100 days and to celebrate we are hoping to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge so keep in tune for an exciting update!
