After leaving Barcelona we started moving around the coast eastwards. Club Nautica Arenys - a nice little marina with a welcome pool, Palamos - a biggish town where we anchored out for a few days then attempted to stay in the bay of Roses area. Just before we left for our night trip to Barcelona we noticed the downstairs instruments in the saloon were not coming on properly! Peter contacted the Palma guys and after a trouble shooting Whatsapp call it turned out the box in the starboard engine bay had packed up. At least there was one in stock that could be delivered to the marina in Barcelona and at least the fly bridge ones were working OK. You have to count your blessings in this world. We duly arrive...

We finally were back in the water in Palma and all jobs finished at the end of June. One major drawback to Palma is the red rain! It is dust from the Sahara that arrives and hangs in the atmosphere usually until it rains - then it just comes down and covers everything, boats, cars, houses, roads etc, this also coincides with the summer water restrictions meaning that not much after we left the pressure is reduced to save water and people are banned from hose clea...

After a very uneventful but beautiful, full lmoon trip overnight from Sardinia we arrived in the Mahon River on Menorca. We were moored at one of the "islands" - floating pontoons in the river where you either use your own dinghy to get ashore or take the water taxi. It was a very calm pleasant overnight to Sardinia where we checked into the Marina Cala dei Sardi. The marina here was reserved by the Lagoon 40th worldwide anniversary rally. We just happened to be coming nearby when we decided to see where the rallies were being held and found the Sardinian one was right in our path!
