Hi everyone, we've have moved out of the city central now to check out one of Sydneys many beaches, Manly. It was only a short ferry trip across the harbour and we passed by the infamous Opera House which was pretty amazing and much bigger than we expected. I'm going to make the most of this week on the beach as the next couple of weeks before we come home we're spending exploring back in central and then we're off to Melbourne where its a lot cooler (boo!). So we're cramming in the last rays before coming back to the snowy UK! Manly beach is lovely and its got a market town feeling about it so its not going to be too hard work staying here :) HOWEVER I may think twice about swimming in the sea from now on, a annoucement came over the tanoy today on the beach saying 'attention everyone, a shark has been sighted 30 metres from the shore, please can everyone leave the water immediately!' With visions of the film Jaws we watched the sea empty within seconds (minus the screaming and loss of children) but luckily me and kaz were leaving at this point! It makes its all the more real that we are sharing our 'cool down' with these big biting fish eeeeek!! Oh did I mention we're going to have a surfing lesson here?? hmmmm!! Anyway hopefully I'll be able to write my next postcard all limbs in tact when I'm back in central for some serious sightseeing. Speak soon luvvies Em xx
