Chiang Mai has been fantastic. Took the 12 HOUR bus journey from Bangkok last Sunday and it's been non-stop since then! Went on a two day trek (was originally 3 days but I changed it once I realised what I was in for!!!) in North West Chiang Mai Jungle and up to the hill tribe Lahu village. Hey everyone, Have had an amazing time in Laos - definitely as good as everyone said it would be and along with Chaing Mai the best place I've visited so far. Got the 2 day slow boat along the Mekong river from the Thai border to get here. I use the word 'boat' loosely and when I say slow I mean 6 hours on the first day and 8 on the second.
