hi all enjoyed my 5 days in christchurch i done a day trip to greymouth on the transalpine thro the alpes so that was nice, i explored around having a look at the botanic gardens and the shops, not all that much to do here but its a nice place saving my money for when im on the magice bus which i booked to go sunday. its cold but not to bad. when doing the magic bus which starts in christchurch i go up north of the east in the south island making my way around the south island then to the north island.
kaikoura : left christchurch at 8 in morning then arrived at kaikoura nice small little town , i did the whale watching tour which was great saw 2 sperm whales and a dolpin. but i must say it was really cold out there on the sea. anyway stayed 1 night in kaikoura up early in mornig to nelson.
nelson : arrived late after stopping off at picton to pick up people from the ferry who had come from the north island im staying in a hostel which you get free soup at 6pm yum, it was really nice veg where lovely, next morning i did a tour to abel tasman which takes allday you have to walk bloody miles in the national park cant think why i signed up for this as it was raining in the morning. tho meet cathy & amber they are really nice, but me & cathy took a different route by mistake and so it took us a extra hout to get back to base and it was uphill aswell but got some great pictures and fantastic views. when arriving back to be picked up everyone else was already back so we had coffee and then waited to be picked up , just getting back in time to the hostel for my free soup. we stayed in nelson for 2 nights then moving on to greymouth.
greymouth : then on the road to greymouth we stoped of at punakaiki to see the pancake rocks it was great have a look at my pictures but my camera got wet and from then i think was camera just about had it. we got to greymouth and at night we did a brewery tour and got drunk for free how great id that and im not even keen on beer. so up early in the morning to make our way to franz josef.
