Still on a high from our lion/s!! Good drive to our stop for the next 2 nights at Tsisitkama ......by the seaside, beside the sea. First saw the Indian Ocean at Port Elizabeth, haven't been near a beach for a few years now, what a fantastic sight!!! On the way to camp, stopped at Storms Gorge bridge, the pedestrian walkway is pretty hairy but needed to psych myself up..... The Garden route from St Jeffries was beautiful, an apt name for the views you get to see...

Pretty short drive to Addo elephant park. The scenery changing again to become a lot greener and richer (and warmer). After lunch we went on an afternoon game drive which was pretty cool. Saw the usual suspects, zebra, kudu, many amazing warthog and then ventured to a watering hole, where we could see a herd of elephants in the distance. Woke up today with Coldplay, Paradise, in my head, good song! Long drive today, scenery a bit boring, but a couple of interesting things, namely driving over the Orange River, which is actually brown, but halfway across the bridge we were passed by a truck with 2 huge trailers containing oranges, how ironic! Also, on the other side of the bridge is a sign which reads "It is illegal to purchase chameleons" - not sure why, it just is!!! Stopped off at the superm...

Drive to Leshoto was a pleasure today. We drove past the Pongola dam which provides water for Johannesburg some 400km away, it's mahhisive! Also passed some housing estates (for want of a better word) with hundreds of identical brick houses which the government have built and given to the people for free, sounds like a good initiative and looked like a nice community.
