Started today with a walk to the local village and a tour round one of their Havelis (mansions). Inside the walls, it has a number of courtyards and rooms off this. Every wall is painted with scenes of Hindu mythology, flowers and modern inventions including cars and trains (European influence)
Following this we went to the local bizarre for a brief walk, before returning to the hotel and finding another reason I would have loved to stay longer, namely the resident boxer. Got some fab pics of him, sticking his tongue out, very handsome boy!!
Last journey and hotel before Delhi. Random, on each trip my iPod keeps picking out the same Jason Mraz song on shuffle, thought worth noting for no other reason that I'm wondering why that song, how bizarre (la, la, la, how bizarre, how bizarre.....) By the way I think the carnival song from the other day was cafe del mar (is that the name?)
Grandest suite yet (yes, I did say suite, one had gone up in the world) huge bedroom and queen size beds, with a balcony, kitchen, bathroom and lounge. Only thing out of place was the dodgy Victorian painting of a little girl on some stairs, she had an evil look in her eye, worst thing is she was on a wall between the bedroom and bathroom, so I had to walk past her to go to the loo.
Spent early eve updating my blog, and writing postcard number 2, before shower and a beer.....
