On Tuesday we spent most of the day hungover in the hostel before flying out to Edmonton to meet Krista's brother. We regrouped, washed ourselves and our clothes, spent the night and then hit the road in Krista's truck.
We headed to Jasper National Park, and said hello to the Rockies.
That first night we headed to a local restaurant 'Bright Spot' the food was AMAZING, greek owners, all home cooked, and best of all 'cheap'!
On Thursday we headed to Maligne Lake, we saw 'wildlife'; I got a bit excited over a chipmunk, and didn't realise how small they were; "I thought they were like the size of a cat. Like badgers or raccoons or something". After brief walk around the lake, a picnic with the mozzies we hit the road, just as I was dozing off I heard "theres a bear" we hit the breaks (along with about5 other cars) and stopped to take pictures of the baby bear, we were pretty lucky that mama bear didn't come out as we got probably a little too close.
Dinner that night was Bright Spot again as the food was so good!
