We managed to get ourselves on the first bus out of Potosi at 4.30pm which arrived into Sucre 8.30pm on Friday. We dumped our bags and immediately headed for a celebratory beer at Joy Ride (Probably the best bar in town - no solo es para Gringos!) with Alva, Live, Catherine and Martin. Jona thought it was a wise idea to get the tequillas in and as is the way with tequilla we found ourselves in a club a few hours later. Jona's ability to speak Spanish was increasing with every drink and he and Martin ended up sharing a bottle of whiskey with a Bolivian accountant.
Saturday was recovery day with some light sight seeing around the white city (all the buildings are painted white) and the central market. Falling back into Joy Ride Cafe again for another evening on the Caipairhinas.
The orange juice man on the plaza came to the rescue the next morning and after eating the best Saltenas from the best Saltena house in Sucre we arranged our first class (they were the only seats left, shame!) tickets for our flight back to La Paz.
On our last day in Sucre, after the obligatory Saltenas, we jumped on the Dino truck expecting to be able to walk in the footprints of dinosaurs only to find a visitors centre had been built and we couldn't get within 300m of them. The life size replicas of various dinosaurs in the centre made up for it though. Very disappointed that we were unable to buy a stuffed toy dinosaur from the gift shop.
Arrived at the airport super early the following day as Jona wanted to lounge around the first class VIP area, only to find the airport was the size of a cow shed. Surprising, considering Sucre is the actual capitol of Bolivia. Flying first class was still worth it though for the free drinks, slap up lunch and enormous seats.
