We had another early morning and six more hours of travelling today. We stopped at a pretty waterfall in Gibraltar National Park to eat the picnic we'd picked up in the Scottish town of Glen Innis, then carried on to Yamba, our destination for the night, where we're staying at the Beach Hotel. It's basic but nice enough and in a wonderful location, right on the seafront. I enjoyed a walk out to the edge of the breakwater and sat on Turner's Beach for a rare hour or so of relaxation, before going for a good run along the coast path. The sun has been shining all day, despite 90% chance of rain on the forecast!
We had fish a chips provided for dinner, which was surprisingly tasty. The town seems nice enough to me, although they have a sign up in the bar saying "No shots or doubles" and this is apparently due to the number of alcohol related incidents on the streets of Yamba. Thankfully, the restaurant and bar is all part of our hotel, so I didn't need to venture out at night!
I'm looking forward to spending less time on the bus tomorrow - I feel like I'm wasting most of every day travelling at the moment!
