The past couple of weeks have been quite eventful. I never made it to Vang Vieng as, since I still wasn't feeling right, I thought it was probably a good idea to go and get myself checked out somewhere that had good medical facilities...the closest place to Luang Prabang being Bangkok! So I got on a last minute flight (which was spent with the provided sick bag poised in position...just in case) and checked myself into a nice little place near Siam Sq in Bangkok ...

Ok, well I've just arrived in Pai and I still can't put my photos on! I hope it's not my camera. I think it's the spywear programmes certain places have that blocks it. Anyway, I shall continue with my account of the trek.... The 3rd day we had a nice lie in (although it was hard with the cockrels crowing and the dogs barking and all the other noises that sound as if they're coming from within the room) before setting off on the final downhill part of our jour...

I'm rather frustarated, for some reason Chiang Mai computers do not want to let me put my photos up on the internet. I've tried 3 different cafes and it seems like they somehow block your camera from connecting to the computer. Fingers crossed when I move on to Pai it'll be different. Such a shame though, since this is the cheapest and quickest internet I've found in the whole of Thailand! But since I've prepaid for an hour and I can't do what I wanted to do, I t...

Wow, so much has happened since my last post. We've had a bit of a whirlwind sightseeing tour of Thailand and we've arrived today in Chiang Mai where we're planning to spend Roxy's last week in Thailand (well, sort of, we're planning on doing a 3 day trek from Chiang Mai into the surrounding highlands, so we're not technically spending the whole time here). We were absolutely shattered after the first night in Krabi and decided to head down to the night market ...

Once again, I've left it far too long! So much has happened since then so I think I shall have to be brief. - On our last weekend we got taken on a trip to Koh Tao to do some snorkelling. It was amazing, I've never seen water so clear. There was an underwater photographer taking pictures of us all as well which was pretty cool. -It was also Kirsty's birthday on the 1st of March so we went up to a bar called 'Jam bar' the night before.
