Hi all,
We are in Puno now, had an amazing night yeaterday when we stayed on alimentile? thats not correct spelling, in the middle of lake titicaca. We had no hot water and no electric and lived like the locals. Food was basic what they ate, veg and rice but we were lucky to see a wedding in progress.
One of the ladies took a fancy to ricky and nearly made him sick with there very energetic style of dancing( especially at 4000m above sea level)!!!!!!!!
We went ot see the Uros people who live on floating reed islands in the middle of the lake, that was very interesting and we bought some souvenirs. The weather has been half rain and half dry, as it is their wet season so i imagine we will get wet on inca trail.
Tomorrow we have a 7 hour bus ride to cusco through pretty scenery, and then we pack ready to start the inca trail!
Write again soon but we are both well and having a great time!
