Hi Guys!!
We have been in Adelaide for 3 days now and are settling into our 1st Australian hostel.
Sunday was spent wondering around in a daze, as we both had severe jet lag, after 2 flights and our 3 day tour of KL finally caught up with us. We battled sleep and tried to get our bearings around the city.
Monday morning was spent sorting out our Aussie bank a/c and getting our bus passes sorted. Once the boring stuff was out of the way we walked around the city and then decided to get the free bus to the botanical gardens. As the weather heated up we spent a couple of hours walking around the gardens both managing to get burnt - OH NO!!!!!!! We saught refuge in an Irish bar before catching the free bus back to the hostel.
We realised we weren't in the mood for cooking so treated ourselves to pizza and wedges in a cafe across the city. After stuffing our faces we realised that we'd have to run back to the hostel for a travel auction. We just made it in time, and managed to purchase a 3 day tour of the great ocean road, from here to Melbourne. Our plans have changed already!!
Tuesday, we decided to take the tram to Glenelg.
Gleneg is a 25 minute tram ride from the city and famous for its "Jetty Road" tourism precint & home to Holdfast Bay, known for its sandy beaches and great ocean views.
We took this opportunity to chill out & have a walk along the beach, before grabbing a spot of lunch and heading back to the city.
We booked a tour to the Barrossa Valley, for tomorrow, a day of wine tasting, and hopefully to see some of South Australia's vineyards.
Keep you posted!!
Love xxxxx Emma and Lee xxxxx
