Hello!!

We arrived in Surfers Paradise Wednesday afternoon to the unpleasant news that the hostel had given our room away, and that they and all the other hostels were fully booked. What a load of S***!! But anyway, we ended up in a self contained apartment, which although costly was very nice! Wednesday evening we spent wandering through the night market by the beach.

Thursday morning we were up early to catch the bus to Warner Bros MovieWorld. Not long after we arrived at the park, Emma had already decided that we were going on the Batwing SpaceShot! 4.5G vertical launch up a 60m tower followed by a drop into a negative decent - beyond freefall. (Lee "Oh s***"). This was a real stomach turner - no suprise as it had more G-force than a shuttle launch. From here we made our way around the stomach churning roller-coaters, before we stopped for lunch and to watch the Police Accademy show. This was a very funny all-action live stunt show.

We spent our afternoon going on the less adventurous rides and watching the street parade. After a long day at the park we made our way back to Surfers Paradise for a relaxing stroll along the beach.

Surfers Paradise was great fun, and had a real holiday feel!
