On Saturday we woke up nice and early at half 4 in the morning to see the Sunrise at Angkor wat. Our tuk tuk man drove us there and waited for us which seems to be normal over here! Sunrise in the end wasn't as impressive as we expected! The morning was very overcast and cloudy so couldn't see the sunrise properly. But we had a walk around the main temple- Angkor wat, which was impressive! After we had a mid morning nap we got our driver to take us to a pool ...

Yesterday we made out way to Cambodia from Bangkok. After 12 hours, 2 cab rides, a rickety train, a tuk tuk and another cab, we arrived in siem reap! Absolutely knackered of course. We booked our hostel previously which then apparently was being renovated then managed to find another with the help of our tuk tuk driver. We had a good first night in siem reap, pub street wasn't exactly as it said but there are nice bars and restaurants! Much preferred to Bangkok...

So me and Emma got into Bangkok a little earlier than expected. Our cab only took half an hour from the airport although our hostel wasn't in the centre of Bangkok. We freshened up and made our way to khao San road to do the touristy thing... Wasn't impressed with Bangkok in general.. Ate some good Thai food and had some good Thai beer (and a bucket) . The next day (20th) we picked up rhos from the airport and looked forward to showing her why we'd seen so far......
