Hello - managed to work this electronic wizardry at work!! Mum been to bank to sort Pud's direct debit - she has no plans to forge your signature so cash coming out of OUR account ( no change there then) - till December. Back from our boat trip - weather much better than expected (BBQ's, mum sunbathing in her bra etc!!)but we were called back as nanny was more unwell tho has rallied a little, but remains very tired. Will try and contact later as a bit busy at the moment

We´ve been up to loads of fun things since we last wrote, but we can´t put everything on the website so we´ll just give you a brief update, and hopefully there will be some pictures soon too, bet you can´t wait!
Thursday: Was sunny when we woke up so we decided to go up sugar loaf mountain. We trekked up to the first cable car through the rainforest...up an unmarked path, in flipflops! It was a bit strange seeing as we were in the middle of a city! We saw a monkey and a huge lizard, but thankfully no spiders or snakes! The view at the top was amazing and we got to eat pao de queijos (basically a big piece of warm cheese), wow!

We sampled our first caipirinha at the local bar in a favela, in a plastic cup in the rain!! Went round two favelas today, was an amazing experience. we also moved to a new hostel in ipanema, bit more lively (and safe) than botofogo..lunch was nice too..not sure what it was though..just ´meat´...stray dog??? we are sharing our dorm with a german guy who has a passion for capoeira. bit tired today after getting woken up in middle of the night by a crazy french loon trying to get into the hostel..she hammered down the door then our window..scary stuff.bye

Helloooooo intrepid travellers! And everyone else I know! Well, how exciting. Glad its raining, it would really be unfair if you went away from britain and had good weather, hahaha.
