cup of tea?
we went up to the cameran highlands to visit a tea plantation owned by some scotish man, it could have easily been in england to be honest. the buildings reminded me of when i went skiing in austria and it was quite touristy. really enjoyed it though! got some nice tea, and went to a strawberry farm. the tour group also took us to some random places such as bee farm, rose gardens and a nice food market - steam sweet potato yummy!!
caught a bus back to KL and then a night train to the middle of the jungle. very tired caught another bus at 5:30 to an even smaller jungle village. there were no ATMs so we had to be careful with what little money we had left between us. got a room slept all day long then got up in the evening to go for a jungle trek to a hide (little hut on stands to watch animals) we got caught in the rain and jon got attacked by leeches!
we saw no animals but the noises were cool, made me miss peru. everytime i go to the jungle i just really miss my project in peru. in the morning we hiked back and took a detour to some caves, they were flooded! ive been on a jungle train all afternoon, and tomorrow we will go across to some island, suppose to be the nicest beaches in south east asia, so after rushing around i can just relax for the next few days!!
