We got off to a good start today! Ms Lina greeted us and hade fixed us some breakfast! Bread, eggs, tea, sausage, salad, tomatoes, shortbread and a chocolate. She told us about a really nice spot up the side of the hill about 2km up where you can get great shots of the lake, so the shower yesterday was useless! We got up the top sweaty and panting, but what a view!! Got some great pics, but well upload them some other time when we can get our hands on a computer. Yesterday we saw a lake Bajkal museum on the way to ms Lina's, so we went to have a look, nice museum with lots of different specimens but all the information was in Russian! Emelie got to see some Bajkal seals, but she wasn't pleased because the tank was so small :( then we walked down to the shore and dipped our feet in the cold water! We wanted to get the bus back to Irkutsk so we went back to ms Lina's to get our big bags and said goodbye. She lives at the top of a hill so we had to walk all the way back down and wait for a bus that might or might not come, because apparently they have no bus times, a bus just shows up once in a while. So we waited and waited and in the end we thought "whatever!" and started walking towards the main bus stop in Listvyanka 4km away, we made it about 30m then we saw the bus come! We hurried back with our heavy bags but no luck, our seats had already been taken by some people faster than us... So turned around and started walking again. After we'd walked half way a man stopped his car and asked if we needed a place to stay, he had a hostel near by, "no thanks, but we'd like a lift!" and he was kind enough to oblige. We'd previously got a text from the guys saying they were in Listvyanka, so we met up with them and had some dinner. We had a quick look at the local Market where Krista bought a babushka and Emelie bought a souvenir seal. Time was short so we hurried to the bus and headed back to Irkutsk. We bought some supplies and then waited at the guys hostel until the taxi came. A little wait at the station then we were on our way to Mongolia! One of our cabin mates was a really nice Australian called Jan, she was travelling as a 50th birthday present to herself and she loved to talk! We had some pretty interesting conversations, she was really funny. The guys popped in for a bit for a chat, then we all went to bed.
