For this weeks activities we decided to head into the pantanal rainforest on a four day tour! As soon as we were off the bus the mosquitos started biting and didn't stop until we left 4 days later, despite the copious amounts of insect repellent and deet applied to the body, at least this is not a malarial zone!! We stayed in some wooden huts raised up on stilts to keep the snakes, jaguars and aligators out!! I didn't sleep much mind because of paranoia about spiders and frogs!! We had a great time and saw loads of wildlife on boat trips, jeep safari and jungle trekking!! It rained like hell one day but was beautiful sunshine the rest of the time!! We met some good people and the guides were great fun although I did wish Marcello would stop squeezing my bottom!! Glad to be out of the mosquitos at last!!
