Yesterday was the official day of the Thai new year and the most crazy out of all the days. We went down to a little town called bangrak for the songkran festival; not as crazy as where we are staying as we're with some of Jordan's family who live here and have little kids, but it was still good! it was nice where we went, you could up the path the the road where they we're all throwing water ect and then come back
down to the garden, beach and pool to relax when you wanted to get away. It was a long and wet day, started at 9 and got home at midnight! But it was a good day and once in a lifetime opportunity as no other country celebrates like the Thai's. You could not go anywhere without getting soaked head to toe and if you looked dry a tiny bit then you were a target! They also put a powder on you across your face which is a sign of good luck, I was covered in it by the end of the night, Jordan didn't have any on him- they must have thought I needed some luck. After all that water wasted yesterday we have woke upto a storm and loads of rain, worse than England nearly, it's so heavy you get soaked after about 10 seconds! Looks like we're staying in today!
