We have been in Vientiane for the last few days; the capital city of Loas. It is not overly crowded or busy for a capital and there is not too much to do. We have been to a few temples one of which was the oldest is the city built in 1818 but there are only so many temples you can see. The main attraction here is a place called the COPE centre; a museum/organisation set up to help people who have been affected by the American 'cluster' bombings and still are being affected now as there are over 80million unexploded still now. It was very interesting and gave an insight into all the work that has been and still being done- also very sad too as it gave interviews with Loasian people who have lost limbs and suffered and some who have lost children and other family members! It is also helps people with lost limbs/disabilities as it provides prosthetics and wheelchairs ect. I would deffinatly tell anyone who came to Loas to visit! We are going down to Paske; another city further down south. We are going on an overnight sleeper bus which apparently has double beds (we will see). We will stop for one night before heading to the 4000 Islands where we are just going to chill and relax for a week by some sea as we have been in the city's for so long, before we head on to Cambodia! The weeks are flying by I can't believe how fast it is going and before I know it I will be staying in a luxury hotel with mom and dad and wearing clean clothes everyday and nice food!
