Just returned from our day trip to Uruguay, ( as you do).
We headed to Colonia which was very quaint and very small. After a one hour ferry crossing it took just 20 mins to walk to the historic centre to scope out what was on offer. Beautiful old cobbled streets, quaint arty shops and a lighthouse kept us occupied as well as the compulsory drip to the Drug Store aka the most popular restaurant in town. This place had several vintage cars parked outside hence the photo. In fact the whole place was somewhat vintage which added to the charm.
Very cute little place to visit for the day and a smooth boat crossing back to BA, much to Angela's relief. As Philippa knows, if you travel with me, you almost always end up on a boat, wherever we are.
Tomorrow, time for more tango and a chance to check out the shops in Palmero!
