Well it's time to head home. This month has flown by, and it's hard to believe its all over bar the thirteen hour flight. We have been blessed with good weather (for the most part) and we have seen some amazing sights. We have met some wonderful people and hold many happy memories and shared experiences. The hotel is stunning. We couldn't believe it when we walked into the lobby. It's massive, really it's like a small city in there! There are 3 massive towers with what looks like a huge surf board on top. There is a vast shopping mall with high end outlets. Shopaholic heaven. Yes there's a Tiffany and I spent my gambling winnings there. I'm very tired but very happy! Can't believe James has treated me to such a fantastic trip. I am a very lucky girl!

We had a quick city tour this morning. We were up at 7am after a late night swimming on the roof in the infinity pool on the 57th floor. Then a spot of gambling in the 24 hour casino. The casino is over 3 floors and was totally packed! I won on my first ever go at roulette $350, I was well excited!The city is magnificent, it was so funny jostling with so many people with cameras, all looking for a perfect shot. A reward for all that travelling and rushing about. A delicious singapore sling. It was as lovely as I had hoped and the Raffles Hotel was simply charming. We felt quite at home. In the end we stayed for two cocktails. It's a great way to unwind and I thoroughly recommend it!

The drive to Airlie was fine and fair. It's a beautiful country and you cannot imagine till you get here how vast it is. Mission beach was lovely, and in truth I prefer it to Airlie. Which is beautiful, but much more commercial. Our apartment at Airlie was a dream, it was as lovely as Townsville was nondiscript. I don't know how much it cost a night, but I am grateful for a kind and generous husband! The trip from Airlie to Daydream was a joy, A trifle bree...
