I have had the most amazing day!! We all treated ourselves to a little sleep in due to our lack of sleep in the past few days! The girls and I went down to breakfast. It's so weird how Europeans have their breakfast! They eat salad, rolls or cereal! What ever happened to toast or fruit? I saw a girl having corn flakes with yogurt and salad rolls for breakfast - it's just weird!! I would love a piece of white toast, with melted butter and vegemite - yummm!! We then went back to our room and got ready for our day! We went to the most amazing 'pool' ever!! It's Europe's biggest thermal spa! It was so beautiful! You can tell how old everything is, but you see straight through that because you're so engaged on the beauty, culture and atmosphere! The spa was built in 1913 and has 15 indoor pools and 3 huge ones outside! The temperature was around 36•C! It was amazing! I am so ridiculously sunburnt! I can't even try to describe what it looks like, it's just stunning! You have to look it up! Its called Szechenyi! I got a little carried away and forgot to tell you about my morning... We walked from our hotel to the spas which was about an hours walk! We encountered our first pick pocket today. Kate was walking up these stairs from an underground train station about half a body width length away from Henry when this girl walked up the stairs between them and Kate felt a pull and turned around to a guy holding her passport pouch! His excuse was he got ash on it and was wiping it off! We've all been really careful, but that has just made us more aware and to definitely make sure we carry our bags at the front and not the back! Budapest is two towns! Buda is the quieter side I guess you'd say and pest is the city! We spent our day in pest and the further we walked the more beautiful it was! We walked to the canals and to a park near where the baths were and went to the Sunday markets. They were so nice, I got to try some traditional Hungarian sausage and a chilli dish! In the afternoon we all came back red raw and went and had a much needed cold shower! We went to dinner in the 'restaurant street'. It was lovely! On our walk back to our rooms we dropped in to a corner shop and the boys found a 1.5L bottle if beer for $2.80AUD - it was ridiculously big and it had a cap that could be resealed each time! I'm now lying in bed - getting really sleepy! I'm going to get up early tomorrow, I'm craving a big, long run!! We also start our topdeck tour tomorrow :)
