I arrived in Surfers in the afternoon of the 31st after a 2 hour bus journey and watching a film called The Nugget! At this point i was travelling with a girl called Claire who I met in Byron Bay. She was on her way to Surfers too, but she was on a different bus. I waited for her to arrive and we called the hostel and waited for the courtesy bus to pick us up. The same evening I met up with Jane and Emily who showed me around their staff accomodation and chatted about their jobs. The next day I was talking to the manager who offered me a job! The time spent here has been filled with working around the hostel, soaking up the rays and drinking copious amounts of alcohol. I've been trying to loose a little of my wine belly by jogging along the beach, but that sort of dried up in Byron! ha! More to come soon chickens!
